Danièle Magloire

Danièle Magloire studied social sciences. She has made many  contributions to research, education, training and has published articles. She is a human rights defender. She is particularly devoted to women's rights and the demand for justice and democratic development. As a long-time feminist activist, she has and continues to contribute to the creation of different women's rights organizations. She has been involved in social movements in various different circles. She is a leader and spokesperson of the feminist organization Kay Fanm (Women's House), which specializes in caring for survivors of Gender-Based Violence. In 2018, for her devoted commitment  and accomplishments, she received multiple awards from: Haitian human rights organizations, Human Rights Champion Prize (Canada), the April 3 Committee (Haitian feminist group in Montreal),  Culture equality (Martinican feminist association).

Nathalie Coicou

Nathalie Coicou is a clinical psychologist based in Haiti. SInce 2004 she has been providing psychosocial support to vulnerable populations including abused girls and women. She is also devoted to training health care professionals and service providers about counseling and provides community awareness on topics that are important to her such as: gender based violence (GBV), child abuse and mental health. www.ahpsy.org.ht

Thamarah Crevecoeur

Thamarah Crevecoeur practices  full scope midwifery at Boston Medical Center in Boston, MA. Her patients are close to her heart, as they are mostly  immigrants from Haiti and the other Carribean islands. In addition to  practicing midwifery, Ms Crevecoeur is also a part time Doctorate of  Public Health (DrPH) student at the Boston University School of Public  Health. Her doctoral research is looking at the risks, benefits and  feasibility of providing more culturally and language specific maternity  services at Boston Medical Center as a method to address the current  disparities in maternal health. She truly believes  in the concept of exceptional care without exception, for all women. She  is FAHM's Board Vice President.
